The Takedown is basically an 8-round shotgun form-factor Kronos, and the Kronos is an excellent blaster - the Takedown is likewise excellent. I've heard they may have addressed that in later batches so it's no longer possible to "skip" part of the priming action (that's super necessary because it's the part that loads rounds into the barrel), but in any case I'd recommend replacing the default grip with this much better version that also provides you with picatinny rail - I have one of the very first Hypnos 1 to hit shelves (ie, the sort that would absolutely let me do things wrong) and with that grip replaced I don't encounter the priming issue at all anymore, no matter how fast I'm cycling the action. fine, but - early units had a bit of a design flaw in that it allowed for user error via short stroking the priming action, which would cause rounds to fail to chamber correctly/at all, leading to dry-firing or random terrible shots a large part of that is due to the design of the grip (in that it was appropriately wide as befits a Rival blaster, but was too smooth and lacked a handstop) making it easier to be sloppy. IMO it seems to be the love child of a Kronos and an Artemis. Someone special ordered it for me for Valentines Day! □Įdit: If you wait a few months the Roundhouse will be coming out. My Perses will be here by the end of the week. Also it’s noisy so don’t expect to sneak attack anyone. Perses is sheer domination but unless you buy the Extended Hopper from Out Of Darts then you’ll need to choose your battles wisely as the 50 rounds of onboard ammo will go quickly. There is no flywheel to rev so you can sneak around the bookcases if need be. The Artemis holds 30 rounds and is very portable. I would recommend the Artemis if you want a spring blaster or a Perses if you want full auto madness. It sounds like you need a blaster somewhat agile since you are going to be using it in the library. My daughters 4 & 6 like playing with them too. I just fool around the house with them currently. I’m 32 and hadn’t picked up a blaster since I was about 13. I just started NERFing about 2 months ago. I do not have experience with any of those blasters but hopefully I can still be helpful.
